About this course
This course will discuss blood-borne pathogens, including common symptoms, the severity of infections, mode of transmission, and preventive methods. You will learn about ergonomics, workplace violence, and food, recreation, and transportation safety. This course also teaches you how to conduct practical risk assessments. You will study different risk assessments, processes and the information gathering process.
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Know about the common symptoms, mode of preventive transmission methods of blood-borne pathogens.
- Recognize workplace risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders and understand general methods for controlling them.
- Be able to offer CPR and first aid in the workplace.
- Perform a risk assessment of their workstation – Identify and prioritize hazards.
