IHC Quality Improvement Capability Statement

Overview: InSiGHt Health Consulting is a public health consulting firm registered in Nigeria and has been in operation since 2004. Our spectrum of services spans across programme research, health financing, health programming, health service delivery strengthening, health and safety and in-country service support.

Capabilities: Embedding quality improvement (QI) into our culture has inspired us to contribute to change in any given opportunity. We attach great importance to defining, measuring and improving quality. Our capability in implementing quality improvement and quality assurance activities involves integrating strategies & proven processes as well as leveraging best practices in healthcare system strengthening. Our QI initiatives have resulted in significant improvements in the standards of our work deliveries for our various clients.

Methods: Our QI approach involves using appropriate methodologies to close the gap between current and expected levels of quality. We employ the use of quality management tools, standards and principles to understand and address identified quality issues. Our quality improvement strategies include clinical in-service training, where we reinforce important concepts and practices or introduce new knowledge; patient-oriented and provider-efficient services, where we prioritize quality improvement by group problem solving and self-assessment; continuous quality improvement – plan, do, study, and act; supportive supervision, where we identify and correct challenges affecting staff while monitoring their performance; and finally, DMAIC, a data-driven improvement cycle we adopt to improve processes and performances.

Expertise: Our core expertise revolves around understanding quality-related problems with processes and applying a strategy or a combination of strategies for improvement. Our key QA/QI personnel are qualified and experienced in quality improvement implementations. They have a minimum of a master’s degree, certifications in healthcare quality improvement and have engaged in several quality improvement designs and implementation.
