Kwesi Sagoe

Professional Experience

Kwesi Sagoe graduated with a B.Sc. Accounting degree from the University of Lagos and is a member of the institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria. He is also an alumnus of the Executive Management Program at the Wharton Business School of University of Pennsylvania

Mr. Sagoe began his career at Coopers & Lybrand in 1982. In 1987 he joined Nigerian- American Merchant Bank Limited (NAMBL) and served in various capacities as head of the Operations and Finance Units. He was subsequently appointed pioneer financial controller, Express Discount Limited (EDL) where he retired as the Managing Director/CEO. He is also currently the Chairman of the Board of ARM Properties Plc.

Segun Rex Adebanjo

Professional Experience

Segun Rex Adebanjo is the Executive Director of Business Development for Starsight Nigeria Limited and a Managing Director of Rearden Capital and Rearden IMG. Prior to joining Starsight Nigeria and Rearden IMG, Rex was an attorney with Davis Polk & Wardwell, Clifford Chance and Sidley Austin LLP. Rex earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Ife in Nigeria, an LL.B. from the University of Buckingham in England and a J.D. from Columbia University, New York where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Articles Editor of the Columbia Business Law Review. Rex is a dual citizen of the United States and Nigeria.

Benjamin Mba

Professional Experience

Dr. Benjamin Mba has years of experience in Health Service Delivery, Program Management and Medical Administration. As a board-certified consultant in Internal Medicine (American Board of Internal Medicine and Member of the Royal College of Physicians).

He has worked internationally and currently holds an administrative management position with the John Stroger Hospital in Chicago, a leading health service provider where he has received several awards for excellence in service and training.

Nnenna Mba-Oduwusi
Principal Consultant

Professional Experience

Nnenna has over a decade of experience in public health in Nigeria and the Africa region, covering programme management, evaluation, organizational development, capacity building, health systems strengthening and community-based health insurance.

In the course of her career, she has managed national level, donor-funded programmes and covered 30 states of Nigeria and several countries in the Africa region. Her work experience includes lecturing in Health Management, Planning and Development with the College of Medicine, University of Lagos Nigeria. In addition, she worked as a Senior Reproductive Health Advisor with Family Health International, leading the reproductive health – HIV integration efforts and other initiatives. She has also functioned as the Insurance Operations Manager for PharmAccess Foundation, overseeing community schemes with over 100,000 enrollees.

Nnenna has provided technical assistance as a consultant to different national and international organizations, as well as government structures/institutions including: the National Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (NACA), several State Agencies for the Control of HIV/AIDS (SACAs), United Nations Development Programme(UNDP), Ford Foundation, Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization (ALCO), Partnership for Transforming Health Systems 2(PATHS2), American Jewish World Service, Family Health International, AED SMARTWork, Management Strategies for Africa (MSA), among others.

In addition, she has contributed to the development of various national and state strategic documents and service guidelines. Chinedu Chukwuemeka

Project Delivery Lead

Professional Experience

Chukwuemeka is a medical doctor with notable achievements in the supervision, design and implementation of health projects, training and capacity building. As a health care co-ordinator, Chukwuemeka (as a member of the team lead), led the Hygeia Community Health Care team in designing and implementing the Enhanced Community Based Care project in Kwara State.

Over the course of his career, he has worked with several hospitals in developing and implementing policies and upgrade plans for standard quality care. He designed quality improvement plans for providers in Lagos and Kwara States using the SafeCare/COHSASA (Council for Health Service Accreditation of South Africa) standards and also supervised the progress of Osuntuyi Medical centre in achieving a Level 4 in SafeCare. Chukwuemeka has also been involved in the capacity building of healthcare providers and has worked with the Freedom Foundation in the design and management of the rehabilitation process of drug addicts.

He also holds a certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Professional Program. Mubarak Ahmed
Technical Support Analyst II

Professional Experience

Mubarak has a bachelor’s degree in Human and Medical Physiology. He has been involved in several peer education programmes and is a trained peer educator for HIV/AIDS. He holds certificates in General Health, Safety and Environment (GHSE), HSE Competence Development Training (Level 3) from the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals, and also a member of ISPON. Other certificates include: Nigerian National Code of West African Bioethics Training Program and Social and Behaviour Science Investigator from West African Bioethics.

He has skills in data analysis and the use of various data analysis software. Mubarak has participated in several research assignments collecting both quantitative and qualitative data. He was the Project Manager for REACH Nembe project.

Mubarak is pursuing his Master’s degree in public health (medical statistics track) at the University of Lagos.
